Mission & Vision

Aiding Discharged Prisoners has stood the test of time as a beacon of hope and support for individuals transitioning from incarceration back into society. Our organization, with a rich history steeped in compassion and dedication, has evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of those seeking a second chance.

At the MSADP, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity for a fresh start. Our mission is to provide funding to organizations that are equipping returning citizens with the tools, education, and community resources necessary to rebuild their lives with dignity.

  • Boston Rescue Mission

    The Boston Rescue Mission transforms lives by empowering individuals experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of becoming homeless to achieve and sustain life skills necessary to become more self-sufficient.

  • Straight Ahead Ministries

    Straight Ahead Ministries exists to see Jesus Christ transform the lives of justice-involved youth.

  • GLT Prison Prevention Ministries

    The Prison Prevention Ministry Program was created to support members of the Greater Love Tabernacle with family or friends who were incarcerated.  Members of the clergy and volunteers provided one-on-one mentoring for youth and adult inmates. 

  • PACC Global

    PACC (People Affecting Community Change) Global is a grassroots organization with a focus on empowering the city’s diverse population—including formerly incarcerated individuals—by providing essential resources such as food, job training, and housing.

  • United Baptist Church

    United Baptist Church of Boston is committed to supporting its local community and returning citizens by providing both spiritual guidance and essential material resources to help them successfully reintegrate and rebuild their lives.

  • Place of Promise

    Place of Promise provides Christ-centered programming for men, women, and children to experience physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual healing. 

  • Future Hope Apprenticeship & Recovery Program, Inc.

    FHARP provides valuable job opportunities in the construction trade, along with life-skills, education and job readiness training for a sustainable future.

  • Life after prison

    LAP supports individuals affected by incarceration by serving as a liaison and providing resources in five key areas: healthcare, family, finance, stability, and growth.

  • Partakers

    Partakers works every day to reduce prison recidivism through essential educational opportunities and empowering mentorship relationships.

  • Highrock Church - Beyond Bars Prison Ministry

    Highrock Beyond Bars seeks to understand the complex issues surrounding the history, institutions and reform of the American prison system and then stand with the resurrected, ascended Lord in the ministry of wiping away tears and healing sorrow (Revelation 21:1-4).

    Fathers' UpLift empowers fathers by offering therapy, reentry support, advocacy, and workforce development.

    THRIVE disrupts cycles of incarceration, isolation, and social harm by organizing and supporting grassroots efforts for restorative reentry, community building, and leadership development among those most impacted by incarceration - returning citizens and local community members alike.
